Why Speakeasy?

Terpenes (tur-peens)

Cannabinoids (Can-abb-annoyeds)

Calyxes (k-licks-is).

The vocabulary of the modern Cannabis enthusiast is rife with jargon. It's enough to trigger nostalgia. What about the good old days? Grass. Picking out seeds and stems. Smoking a doobie. The attaché of yesterday's stoner might contain as little as cannabis, rolling papers and a lighter. Need a grinder? Use your hands. A crutch? Cannabis is a crutch, it doesn't need a crutch.

Today's stoner toolbox probably contains a torch, a specialized cleaning solution (maybe one for cleaning a dab rig, and another for cleaning a bong,) scientifically engineered tiny-marbles called "terp pearls," oils: cured resin, live resin, rosin (raw-sin), live rosin, shatter, whipped shatter (honeycomb), little glass buckets called "bangers," and more!

So why Speakeasy?

Because Cannabis is supposed to be for everyone. A Master's Degree shouldn't be a prerequisite for getting stoned.

I'm not denying that this cannabis jargon holds value. It's all just a little inaccessible.

The first time I read the word "cannabinoid" I wasn't even sure how to pronounce it. How are we going to learn if we can't even read the words?

This is a place where we'll make this terminology accessible. Think of us as your virtual budtender. This is a guided tour where we'll unravel the mysteries of marijuana, together.

Welcome to The Cannabis Speakeasy.
