Tools needed for decarboxylation process (linked below to top-selling Amazon products):

This process may appear labor intensive, but this recipe is great for edibles beginners. With a 3:1 ratio of CBD to THC, as well as the benefits of slow absorption into the bloodstream thanks to ample fat content, these brownies have a slow rolling onset and relaxing effects.

First step

  • Set the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit

  • Break two eggs and add them to a small bowl. Break a third egg and separate the yolk, then add it to the other two.  Set aside.

  • In your ceramic ramekin, combine 1 gram of CBD isolate with a half gram of your live resin

  • Place the ramekin in the oven for 90 minutes

Second step

  • After a nice, low and slow decarboxylation, remove the ramekin from the oven

  • From your stick of butter, add a generous pat of butter to the ramekin. Allow it to melt from the residual heat.

  • Stir the butter and oil mixture until the butter is frothy, and it is well combined.

  • Add additional butter, and place the ramekin into the oven for another 15 minutes

Third step

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Farenheit

  • Grease a baking dish with butter. Layer in parchment paper along the bottom for easy removal of the brownies.

  • Butter the paper as well, remember: the more fat the better

Fourth step

  • Set up a double boiler to melt the 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate. Use a heat proof bowl that fits well over a sauce pan.

  • Set the boiler on medium heat. Add the chocolate and reserved butter. Mix with a spatula until the mixture begins to melt, then remove from heat.

  • Stir constantly until the mixture fully melts.

  • Add in your infused butter, and mix until incorporated

Fifth step

  • Use a hand mixer to beat the sugar, vanilla and salt into your mixture. Beat until silky smooth.

  • Continuing to mix, add the room-temperature eggs and beat until fully mixed

  • Fold in the all-purpose flour

  • Fold in both the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the white chocolate chips

Sixth step

  • Pour the mixture into your baking dish

  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick can be removed with little residue

  • Cut the brownies into four horizontal strips, then into four vertical strips

Dosing Guide:

One gram of cannabis oil at 100% THC has 1000mg. Live resin typically tests between 60 and 75% THC. Isolate, on the other hand, tends to test at between 90-95% potency.

If using a single gram of 95% CBD isolate with a half gram of 65% THC live resin, the total batch would have roughtly 950mg of CBD and 325mg of CBD. Each brownie, then, would have nearly 60mg of CBD and 20mg of THC. Begginers should start with one quarter of one brownie, divided into halves. Take the first half, then wait 90 minutes until taking the second. If no effects are felt, try a quarter of a brownie on its own the next time. Continue to increase incrementally.

Many individuals find that CBD helps to reduce the intoxicating effects of THC in an edible. Pairing CBD isolate with a high quality Indica live resin will help to ensure that these brownies impart a subtle, relaxing effect.
